The central section of the game revolves around having the ability to reprogram items and monsters inside the game, including stealing abilities from one to graft onto another. The core gameplay could roughly be called "first-person adventure\puzzle," with some light combat and jumping elements. It tells a satirical story about what happens when someone's early works have become so legendary that a new generation of kids have grown up thinking they can tell his stories better than him.Īnd it does this from within the very game they're trying to demo-ize in time for E3. The writing and the voice cast are excellent, especially James "Rusty Venture" Urbaniak as a Molyneux-ey 90s rock-star developer now seeing his career crater thanks to a sequel that's spent ten years in development hell.
